Since the Haitian Government would not do it, for the last two decades or so, this Church (see pictures below, and YES! this is a church which was destroyed by the 2010 earthquake), under Pastor Theodore Renesca's leadership, has been helping small children and youth stay off the streets of Dufort-Cotin, Leogane, Haiti. They hire teachers to help keep the children in school and the church would find ways to pay those teachers through their already meager means. However, since after the earthquake of January 2010, it has been rather extremely difficult to pay the teachers, and the school had no other choice but to close down several of the locations that used to help those poor parents with their children's education.
We have posted a few pictures in an effort to give you an idea of how dire the need is. I know that times are hard for many here, but can you imagine if we are feeling the pinch here in the great USA, how hard it must be on those poor families in Haiti?
Would you consider supporting one or more of those children with a MONTHLY donation to help pay their teachers and keep them in school?
